With poor grades and no connections in the industry, Daniella Pierson knew she wouldn't be able to break into magazine media. Instead, she started her own newsletter in 2015 to practice her writing.

Six years later, Newsette reaches 500,000 subscribers and has already brought in more than $6 million in revenue for 2021. Last year, while many companies were forced to shrink, Newsette continued growing, bringing in more than $1 million in September alone.

Yes it's another story about a newsletter, but there are also some gems hidden in this about building a media brand from scratch, and more importantly, keeping it going when times get tough.
